I don't know who decides the samples contents but a sample of a cookbook without even one recipe is worthless! If its the authors choice then stop being ridiculous. Giving away one recipe won't break you. To the contrary where I'm concerned. You lost a possible sale.

This cookbook is exceptionally great for those that love to use a slow cooker and want to learn the basics of Mediterranean cuisine. Each recipe seems to be healthier than the next, and the ingredients are all things you can find at local stores. I found the cooking tips/guidance of Mediterranean style cooking to be very informative. This is a great buy.

The book is good, but where the pictures are suppose to be there is none. I would like to see what the meal looks like.

This book tells you that you can make a lasagna without first boiling the noodles, how to cook soup in the oven, and that your slow cooker can be used for dessert making. Before reading this book, I had no idea how many uses a slow cooker had.  Additionally, I discovered new ways to add healthy grains (like Quinoa) and vegetables into my diet without a lot of fuss.  If purchasing, just make sure you have a big slow cooker because after 4-8 hours of cooking, you don’t want to end up with only a single serving’s worth.  Note (disclosure): I did receive this book for free from the publishing company when I was asked to review it, but I will enjoy using it.

I just got through my first read of this book and I actually learned more than I thought I was going to. I honestly think the best part of the entire book was in the first couple of chapters where it discussed the health benefits of slow cooking. I have always liked cooking but don't know much about doing it properly and I was using it to expand that knowledge base. This is an easy read and very very helpful. Also, the book doesn't get bogged down with a bunch of needless jargon, nor does it seem pointlessly flared. It is just good information that is easy to read and understand. Anything that is said typically has some good information to back it up. As someone who has done some journalism based work, this is nice to see even though it is a cook book. That being said, I have only tried one of the recipes in the book, but it was great. There are a lot more in here and they all look really good. The instructions are easy to follow and help you get outside your usual routine for a meal. I recommend it highly.

There is really something for everyone in this book. Whether you are looking to eat healthier, cut costs, save time, or try something new, this book has it all. The author does an excellent job of giving clear, concise tips not only for preparing the recipes, but also for using the slow cooker. Anyone can successfully prepare these recipes with the help of this book!

I have the ebook edition of this recipe book. It's great and easy to look through. The recipes are flavorful and things I would never have thought to put in a slow cooker. It's definitely expanded what I think about when I bring out the slow cooker. It's been fun working through the recipes and trying meals inspired by Italy and Greece, but that I can cook while I'm away from home.

I like the easy of use and the access to the recipes as well as the variety of cuisines that are reflected here -- I can use this quickly and easily and there are no sacrifices in flavor or technique.  A good book to have on your device.

This book is a wonderful addition to any aspiring chef's digital library. The Mediterranean Slow Cooker will walk you through setting up your kitchen and slow cooker first and then offers you a wide array of options to choose from. My personal favorite was the chicken jumbalaya and the lamb tagine. I highly recommend this book if you are trying to step out of your comfort zone or even if you are new to the culinary arts a whole.

My family and I live by cooking in my slow cooker because it saves us so much time. I bought this cookbook because my family and I wanted to try something different. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy the recipes were, and I really likes the informational chapters in the beginning. The food was great too, my family likes the “Bananas Foster” recipe the best.

The Mediterranean Slow Cooker Cookbook is a must-have for any cookbook collection. Not only does it include reasons behind slow cooking, safety with slow cooking, and techniques for using a slow cooker, but it also provides 101 wonderfully simple slow cooking recipes to be tried at home. The chapters are conveniently divided into groups by meal and by what kind of meat used, making it easy to reference back to any pointer or recipe. This cookbook is great to use as a guide to start learning to slow cook as well as an additional tool to those who already know how!

Until I read this book I had no idea what the Mediterranean diet was but now I want to find out more about it. I'm not new to using a slow cooker, but this book gave me so much more information on the subject. Things I had no idea about. Food safety, how to properly use, clean, etc. a slow cooker. I recommend it to anyone interested in learning a whole new way to cook. I like the whole book but my favorite chapter is Chapter nine (desserts). I never knew you could make desserts in a slow cooker but you can do that and tons more. It's healthier too because you don't get all the fat and grease you normally do cooking things other ways. Note (disclosure): I did receive this book for free but even if I had to pay for it, it's totally worth it.

This cookbook is just what the title says, including “flavor profiles” of West Mediterranean and North Africa, much more than the typical Greek recipes. I use my slow cooker often enough for savory and sweet to recognize terrific recipes, and became so inspired after going through this eBook, that I wanted to share my enthusiasm. To be expected are Chicken Cacciatore and Lentil Soup recipes, but also Turkish Stuffed Eggplant, Tuscan Beef Stew, Braised Basque Chicken. The entire seafood section is an education, including using your slow cooker as a poacher. And did I mention dessert? How does Natillas de Avellanas (Spanish Hazelnut Brandy Custard), Tiramisu Bread Pudding, or Moroccan Golden Saffron Cake sound? I’m thinking my slow cooker didn’t see this coming.

Informative on slow-cooker cooking styles and methods as well as Mediterranean cuisine. Organization of the book promotes quick finding of recipes and layout encourages ease for quick review during mid-preparation glances. Only Con: No pictures. Received book for free and I am excited to dive into these yummy recipes.

In addition to being clear and informative, this cookbook was really fun to read! Many cookbooks tend to read clinically, but not this one. Each recipe shared a fun fact about its origin, its ingredients, or its serving style(s), which added depth and personality. The book also took the time to introduce and explain the use of a slow cooker and the different kinds of Mediterranean foods there are, which was helpful. I received a free copy of this book, and I look forward to trying out some of its recipes soon.

I've always had a flair for ethnic cuisine, especially with my family being Indian. So it comes to no surprise that I decided to purchase this cook book. I've been trying to find a healthy, and delicious way to have home cooked meals that were fairly simple, and this book certainly nails it. After leading with an introduction on the cuisine and slow cooker maintenance, it leads into what the reader should have in their kitchen for the desired recipes. It being an informative book with easy to follow recipes, I recommend this to any cook, regardless if they are beginner or advanced.

This is a good cookbook for anyone new to slow cookers or Mediterranean cooking.  Unlike many books of its type, this one focuses on flavor and authenticity without paying much attention to heart health or calorie counting.  The recipes are varied and versatile, including a huge selection of seafood, poultry, and meat dishes I am longing to try.  I figured there would be lots of stews and soups, but I wasn't counting on lasagna, whole chicken or duck, or decadent dessert items.  For my needs, it's taking me from introduction to slow cooking to advanced Mediterranean in one volume.  Disclosure: I was given a free digital copy for review.

I have been seeking out recipes for my slow cooker more and more this winter. So i was pleasantly surprised when I found a book that caters to Mediterranean food because we have potluck dinners every Sunday at my Greek uncle's house! All of a sudden I am a pro in the kitchen as far as they are concerned and even my kids who arre very picky seem to like all the recipes so far. Great cook book and guide!

This book lists the benefits of cooking with a slow cooker to produce Mediterranean style dishes that are seeping with flavor. Combining all of your ingredients and simmering them slowly creates mouth watering recipes included in this book from countries such as Greece, Italy, France, Spain and Morocco.

The Mediterranean Slow Cooker Cookbook is an enlightening read for those interested in trying out new recipes that are culturally inspiring and flavorful.   The authors provide readers with the basics about the slow cooker process, along with a variety of appetizing recipes for vegetables, soups, meat dishes, and desserts.  My favorite recipe thus far is the Moroccan Chicken, and I’m looking forward to trying the Ciopinno. More importantly, this book provides home chefs with healthy cuisine options for the family that you can find at a Mediterranean restaurant, but made in the comfort and convenience of your crockpot at home!
