After having thoroughly enjoyed reading The Mephisto Covenant by

After having thoroughly enjoyed reading The Mephisto Covenant by Trinity Faegen, I was super excited to start the next installment in this series, The Mephisto Kiss, which tells the story of Kyros aka Key, the fearless leader of the Mephisto.

Key had always distanced himself from his brothers. Never quite allowing himself to get to close, goof around, enjoy their company. Instead he buries himself in work, keeping himself busy looking out for his brothers, and doing all he can to defeat Eryx.

Key never even imagined that he would ever find his own Anabo, the one who was meant only for him…the one that would help him achieve the Mephisto Covenant and find redemption thus allowing him the possibility of going to Heaven in the end. As the leader of the Sons of Hell, his mind was set on one thing, and one thing only…thwart his oldest brother, Eryx, and prevent him from fulling his dark plans of defeating Lucifer, and rule Hell.

That is, until Jordan, daughter of the President of the United States is kidnapped by none other than Eryx, whose plan is to use her as leverage to get her father, the President, to give his soul to Eryx and become a Skia…a lost soul. Forever destined for Hell, never to be allowed into Heaven. But after a plan that has been thwarted by the Mephisto, it comes to light that Jordan is in fact, an Anabo. And not only is she just one of the rare Anabo meant for one of the brothers, it turns out that Jordan is meant for Key.

With his hard ass ways, will Jordan be the key in opening up Key’s heart, or will Eryx power over Key and Jordan be enough to ensure Key never finds his other half…his light?

Ok, you know why I am so loving this series from Trinity Faegen? Ummmm…because they totally remind of The Black Dagger Brotherhood books, but more toned down. Seriously! Brothers = check, immortal=double check, in search of the woman who will change their life forever=totally check! I just can’t get enough of these brothers, and I totally am in dire need of the next. Who will be the next brother? I know who I’m guessing, but I can’t say as it will totally spoil what happens in this book…

The world created by Trinity Faegen is one that I absolutely would love to be part of! To be Anabo and be meant for one of these sexy ass brothers? Sign me up baby! What I absolutely loved about The Mephisto Kiss, was that we got to see Key, Mr. All-To-Serious, completely change for the love of his Anabo, Jordan. How could I not help but fall for this guy! Sure, Jax is sweet and endearing, but Key …. Oh man…he just oozes machismo! A sexy bad boy who loves his greenhouse.

Now I will admit, Jordan was definitely not one of my favorite characters. I would’ve rather seen Key with someone else, but she is the ying to his yang. She is the one who can break through his icy exterior and show us the sweet, gentle giant that is just so…so…*sigh*.

Why else did I love this book. Well, there is quite a bit of mention and exploration of Bucharest, Romania which, incidently, is where my husband is from! So props for that! Woot woot!

I flew right through this book. There were so many different plot twists and turns that there just wasn’t an opportune time for me to set the book down and pause! I had to keep going and find out what exactly the author had hiding up her sleeve! Was she going to break my heart? Was there going to be a happy ending? I mean, there was one particular part where I gasped and screamed at my book! “What the heck were you thinking you freakin’….. ….. …..!?” I can’t say how that sentence ends because , uh…spoiler! No, no my friends. You are going to have to pick up a copy and experience this for yourself.

Fans of The Black Dagger Brotherhood will enjoy reading about and following the lives of these Sons of Hell.

Loved this book! its has such a diffrent twist to the normal supernatural romance. The girls in this book are also strong people and not just waiting to be rescued by the boy. Can't wait for the next book.
