Overview

Winner of the 2021 Kids' Book Choice Award

On Christmas Eve morning, Holly heads out for some skating at the pond. While she laces up her skates, Jack Frost's wind blows her mittens from the ground into the air, and they travel all around the town. Meet every jolly creature and see each Christmas tradition Holly's mittens experience in The Merry Christmas Mittens!

Holly wakes up on the morning of Christmas Eve, excited for what her day will bring! While she laces up her skates by the pond, mischievous Jack Frost blows a wintry wind that sweeps Holly’s red, green, and white mittens away from her, and across the town. Holly’s mittens see a great deal through the day—from sledding, to caroling, to decorating gingerbread houses, to Santa himself, the Christmas mittens get a glimpse of how people and families all across the town celebrate Christmas and spread cheer to those they meet. See everything Holly’s mittens see and learn something about the true meaning of Christmas in The Merry Christmas Mittens!

About the Author

Sarah Janco is a mom of three and wife, born and raised in Texas. While growing up in the modeling industry, she realized she wanted a future in literature. Sarah always loved writing and creating adventure, but found a calling when she was able to write stories for her children’s imaginations. After finding so much joy and love in books herself, she decided to create stories to pass on to others who yearned for meaning, adventure and value that sometimes is only found in books.

Midwestern resident Blayne Fox grew up romping through the Missouri woodlands, letting her imagination take flight to create magical kingdoms and creatures wherever she went. Predominantly self-taught, Blayne knew what she was going to be from a very young age: an artist. After attending art college, she plunged into her industry, working for clients such as Discovery Channel and National Geographic Kids within her first year out of school. She is now represented by Deborah Wolfe LTD and primarily focuses on illustrating children’s books and graphic novels.
