About the Author

Nancy Niblack Baxter is the author of 11 books on the American frontier and the Civil War. She is the recipient of the 2000 Eli Lilly Award for lifetime achievement in history from the Indiana Historical Society. Her histoical novel The Movers was the Waldenbooks Preferred Reader Selection 1989 for the Mid-Atlantic states.
