    One of the Greatest Jam Sessions in Music History!

    Any fan of good music will appreciate and thoroughly enjoy this one. This raw studio recording captures a once in a lifetime jam session with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. You get to hear how truly talented these musicians are when in between talking and cutting up they move right into a song and rock it out -- no digital alterations here! Now being that the recording is "unvarnished" there are a couple of songs where the instruments overpower the vocals, but only a couple. The time era of this music is truly gold -- classic rock&roll, honky-tonk country, and heavenly highway hymns. This recording took place right after Elvis became an established rock&roll star and right before Jerry Lee released his first single, so you get to hear each of them show off a bit -- and with the way 'the killer' so effortlessly harmonized and playing the piano like a man with four arms, I can't help but think that 'the king' might have been a little worried by the time they wrapped up. Now unfortunately you don't really hear much from 'the man in black', as a matter of fact, if they called it the Million Dollar Trio, no one would even know Johnny Cash was there. But over all I have to say that this is a real gem. Whether you're just learning about the roots of music or have been jamming to these legends for years, this will make an excellent addition to any music lovers collection.
