Meet the Author

I have learned that the path of faith can have many twists and turns. The amazing thing is, that in the midst of trials and tribulations, long forgotten dreams can be rekindled. While in earlier years my life-long desire to be an author was put on the back burner, in recent years I have seen my dream become a reality.
When Toby Lost His Yard is loosely based on my own family’s grappling with the turmoil of the Great Recession. Had we not encountered job loss and the real estate crash, I probably would not have returned to work full-time, I would not have written this book or met the co-worker who helped me begin publishing my stories. The over-riding theme of When Toby Lost His Yard is that “no matter what we are called to give up, we can trust our Heavenly Father who loves us.”
Most recently I have begun writing contemporary Christian romance novellas. In the Dreaming of Roses Series readers follow Kelli Patterson and her best friend, Brenna. Both women are looking for love that lasts a lifetime. As Kelli discovers, “The greatest love stories are not written hastily by human hearts; they are authored, instead, by God, whose timing is perfect.” Almost Perfect, Hardly Perfect and More Than Perfect – available now.
