From the Publisher

"In The Miraculous Medal: Stories, Prayers, and Devotions, Donna-Marie Cooper O'Boyle does an amazing job of enlightening readers, not only with the Miraculous Medal's historical significance, but also its spiritual significance for all mankind. Mary is waiting for each of her children to reach out to her in quest of the limitless graces (and miracles) she has to bestow on them. Donna-Marie's book is an instrument that will connect Mary with her seeking children. — Marge Fenelon, columnist, speaker, and author of Imitating Mary: Ten Marian Virtues for the Modern Mom

"It is good for us never to forget that 'we have recourse.' We are never beyond the reach of mercy, never beyond the range of miracles. What happened at Cana in Galilee still happens every day, the world over. The arm of Our Lord has not been shortened; nor has the love of Our Lady been diminished. We have recourse! How good for Donna-Marie to remind us. — Mike Aquilina, author of Yours Is the Church and Good Pope, Bad Pope

"I've always considered the Miraculous Medal as spiritual bug repellent. It's such a lovely little treasure that the Blessed Virgin Mary, as a good and protective mother, offers to her children in order to help keep them from being pestered by the evil one. In this very informative book, Donna-Marie Cooper O'Boyle reminds us of the power and blessings that continue to flow from the Miraculous Medal. I love this book, and will highly recommend it to others!" — Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, STL, author of Under the Mantle: Marian Thoughts from a 21st Century Priest

"This book should be a must read for all Catholics. Donna Marie Cooper O'Boyle not only brings out the grace and beauty of the normal but reveals the divine light shed by the feminine.  She details an historical story of women of God — the Blessed Mother, St. Catherine et al, from a feminine perspective.  The inclusion of the feminine perspective gives a warmth and reality to the story that makes it alive in your life as you read it.  It is truly a great book!" — Rev. Carl L. Pieber, C.M., Executive Director Central Association of the Miraculous Medal

The Miraculous Medal is such a phenomenal book! The author does a fantastic job of providing just the right amount of background information on how the medal came about, followed by extremely inspiring real-life stories of those who wear the medal. Reading this book has encouraged me to pray more often and has reminded me to call upon the Blessed Mother frequently throughout the day. I believe that all Catholics would benefit from reading this book and feel that all should wear a Miraculous Medal. I also believe that this book can be life changing for those who take its contents to heart! Additionally, I highly recommend Grace Café, Embracing Motherhood, and The Domestic Church, all written by the author as well.

I can't think of a more appropriate author than Donna-Marie for a book about the the Miraculous Medal, and her beautifully written book did not disappoint!  I'm inspired by Donna-Marie's stories - both personal and those she collected and included in the book.  I've worn a Miraculous Medal for a number of years and am truly reminded of our Blessed Mother's special love and constant care and protection for all of God's children.  And, I've seen miracles in giving medals to family and friends which I've received as Holy-Spirit-prompted-gifts Donna-Marie has kindly included in book orders I've placed on her site.  The stories that Donna-Marie shared in the book deepened my faith and understanding of what a truly special sacramental we've been given.  I love Donna-Marie's personal experience of receiving a Miraculous Medal from Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, which she still wears today, and through her decade-long friendship with her, was encouraged to write about the vocation of motherhood, encouraging moms and lighting the way for us to remain faithful, serve joyfully, and be at peace in raising our children and helping others God has placed in our lives.  Specifically, I love how she inspired Donna-Marie to encourage moms in the the world to ask our Blessed Mother to be a mother to each of us/our families now, to ask Our Blessed Mother to help us in raising faithful, virtuous, loving children, and in turn the miraculous help, grace, and blessings we receive through asking in love and faith.

The Miraculous Medal, is a beautiful book where you can find that God makes miracles every day in our lives, Our Lady leave us a message with St. Catherine Laboure that all who wear the Miraculos Medal with confidence will received great graces. We can see miracles when we have Faith. My 11 year old boy likes to read the stories and he shares with the family and friends, he wears the medal and he is growing in his faith to Our Lord and Our Lady. We as a family wear the Miraculous Medal and pray for her Intercession every day.

The insights given in this book, The Miraculous Medal, have bolstered my faith in many ways. I was able to learn with much greater clarity the unfolding of the remarkable story of the Miraculous Medal. I was fascinated by the many miraculous happenings involving St. Catherine Laboure and the miraculous medal. Additionally, as I read I began to understand the great holiness of St. Catherine. The book attests to the many ways that this holy woman was faithful to God. She is an example for all who wish to really live their faith. The book goes a step further and tells of true modern-day miracles of people who prayed and received help when needed. These are stories that really encourage and are so impressive after having just read its history. This beautiful book also contains the words of the blessed Virgin Mary to St. Catherine. The story is told in all of its detail and impels us to call on our Blessed Mother as she requested to receive the graces she wants to give us.
