Meet the Author

I'm a stay at home mom, to a very busy two year old daughter. I live in northern Rhode Island where the weather has more ups and downs than my toddler does, but I grew up in upstate NY so I'm used to it. I've been with my husband for almost eight years now and it still feels like we never have a dull moment! I've always had a passion for writing and I try to write whenever I have a free moment. If not writing or wrangling my daughter - I also enjoy reading, writing, having dance party with my toddler, watching TV and movies, You Tube, and status updates on Facebook. And if not doing any of THAT I can probably be found watching whatever is going on around me through the backs of my eyelids, because chances are I probably fell asleep on the couch! :)

    A compelling Must read!

I stumbled upon this book by a new author, and was compelled by the storyline right from the very beginning! The story is about a young girl, Daria, who is a demon with a soul and is stuck with a family that is lead to be believed as horrible. The book starts right where she is already leaving home, and leaves little to the imagination as we get a preview of what she is capable of. I loved the realistic feel her character has right from the start, it made me feel as if I was going through what she was.

The story picks up when she meets the secondary characters, or more importantly Chance. From his first line, I got the feeling he would make thing VERY interesting. Daria did too, and it only made her so nervous she was tongue tide! We've all been their am I right? A connection is felt between them right off the bat, so much so, that it came off as very believable. It's not without it's tension though and a little mystery. The other characters are and more importantly, Toby, crack me up. His character is described as a mixture of the Hulk and Harry Potter, lol. From the way he is described, I could definitely see it and I look forward to seeing more of him in the trilogy to come.

As Demonsoul progresses it becomes clear that the paranormal isn't the only aspect of the story. It's there, but it's not overpowering. I love the fact that it focuses on a girl that is trying to rebuild herself after a traumatizing past. It goes without saying that this would be so much easier for her if it weren't for her family that finally tracked her down. Or I should say her sister! This girl is described as someone that I look forward to seeing a lot more off. There is a palpable tension between the sisters that runs way deeper than is let on. And with the cliffhanger and a shocker I might add, I so can't wait to read the sequel!

    One star

I was really excited by all the good reviews, but I couldn't even read the whole thing. It rambles too much and has too many typos.

    Really good

I stumbled upon this book and really enjoyed it. The main character is alittle childish but given the way she was "raised" it makes sense. It leaves you at a cliff hanger.
