About the Author

L Frank Turovich (1956- ) was born and raised in Flint, Michigan where he became a rabid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, comics and everything else not nailed down. After graduation he spent 12 years in the United States Marine Corps, first as a “grunt” and later as a radar repairman/technician/instructor. Along the way Frank bought his first Macintosh in April 1984 and learned to program. He combined his fascination with teaching and programming into writing articles for Nibble Mac and Inside BASIC magazines, and self-published two books on the subject. He also completed degrees in Technical Training and Management. After leaving the Marines he worked as a technical writer, trainer, and technical publication manager for several high-tech companies including Metrowerks, Motorola, Freescale Semiconductor, and Nokia, where he mainly documented software development tools and other related technologies. He currently resides in Austin, Texas while doing his best Travis McGee impression in a home filled with books, computers, and two cats (Java and Misty) where he pursues that elusive fiction writing career he’s always dreamt of.
