The Mission Bell is one of the most affirmative works of arena rock ever to punctuate the CCM landscape. The unabashed declarations of belief on fist-pumping anthems like "Here I Am Send Me" and "Paint the Town Red" are set to pulsing rhythms. Comparisons to U2 are inevitable, not just for Martin Smith's Bono-esque vocals but for the band's sonic leanings. "All This Time" sounds like an outtake from The Unforgettable Fire, while "Take Off My Shoes" fits comfortably alongside any track from How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. Stu Garrard's ethereal guitar work blends harmoniously with keyboard overtones one minute, then rocks full-throttle the next. The quintet's star power drew a host of guest musicians, including Tobymac, Matt Redman, Steve Mason, Faye Simpson, and Moya Brennan. Christianity Today named it one of the Top Ten CCM albums of 2005.

I have recently bought The Mission Bell and have not purchased much Christian music. This CD is as good as U2 or Coldplay's latest CDs. However, Delirious will not get the recognition they deserve due to there faith and profession in God. The other two bands they are usually compared to in the secular world get away with "illusions" God as long as they don't directley reference HIM. In short, if you want great music along with uplifting, reflective lyrics get this CD.

The Mission Bell is, by far, Delirious? best album to date. The music far out weighs their former albums. I'm not saying that their past records haven't been worth your time, I'm just saying this new cd has broken the mold for Christian rock. Christian music is continually created as a direct form of worship for God and this cd is nothing less than it. Yes, I have to say, it truly is a one-of-a-kind record, that will be difficult for even Delirious? to beat.

I've always enjoyed sound Delirious? brings. There is no other band quite like their sound. If anything, I'd say it's almost like Coldplay. Martin Smith's smooth, soothing voice is balanced out by Stu G's awesome guitar playing. Also, I've always been a fan of their honest and poetic lyrics. "Our God Reigns" is beautifully written, lyrically.

My favorite songs are Stronger, All This Time, Fires burn, Love is a Miracle, and I'll see you. These are my favorite but all of them are good.

This is their best album with their best new hits. One would think that after their previous works they couldnt get any better, yet they do. This band has had some of my favorite songs, such as I could sing of your love for ever, History Maker, and now in this new album they have Strong. Great new album, its gets my recommendation.

Mission Bell is Delirious's eight studio album and in my opinion is everything you would expect from the group. It combines exciting music with deep challenges and messages to our hearts. The first track Stronger which is on the Narnia Chronicles complilation grows on you declaring the way of unity and love. The second track Now is the time sets the tone for the whole cd and encourages the church to live our lives now for God as he is alive and we need to take responsibility for the call of God on our lives. Also encourages christians saying that we do make a difference in all our community's we live in. The third track Solid Rock, which features Toby Mac, declares the intent to stand our ground and stand firm in this world at the present time with all the different troubles. The fourth track All This Time is about us christians serving God and how it is our time to do his call and be his window to the world. The fifth track Miracle Maker is about being healed and how we can finally meet god. A very moving song with powerful lyrics that give me goose bumps when I listen to it. The sixth track Here I Am Send Me is about christians only needing one tiny glimpse of God and how we all need to say "Here I Am Send Me" out into the world God. The seventh track Fires Burn focuses on Jesus's return how heaven is our detination and one day soon Jesus will come in the clouds and take all his followers home. The eighth track Our God Reigns discuses issues in the world such as abortion, aids, obsession with self. It is a admission that we have watched and done little to be part of the solution and that we have a great God that reigns even when some aspects have failed to bring God into society. The ninth track Love Is A Miracle is a song of redemption a celebration of finding God and his miraclous love. The tenth track Paint The Town Red is a brilliant anthem about the blood of Jesus and how we christians are the army of God and are ready to die. The eleventh track Take Of My Shoes underlies God's unfailing love for us and his cry for us. Finally the last track on the album I'll See You is such a haunting song featuring Moya Breannan sounding like an angel singing a Gaelic prayer and is about meeting Jesus face to face. The 12 songs on The Mission Bell illustrates how Delirious have effectively stretched the boundaries of worship music with out loosing its audience in the process and gives christian faith in these troubled times. It is a very addictive album and definitely is a must have in your collection. Review by Rachel Carlisle.

The Mission Bell is a great CD with wonderful lyrics. It has some great worship songs like "Miracle Maker" and "Our God Reigns", and some rock 'n' roll like "Paint The Town Red". Definitely worth buying. On a side note, the Mission Bell credits on this site are really bad. Stu G needs credit for his brilliant guitar playing and singing (he is the main guitars on the CD, does some vocals, and is a group member) and Martin's middle name is not Cruz, that is a different guy. But yes, very good CD, buy it.

This album is absolutely brilliant, in a way revolutionary. The guitars are bold, and the emotionally-stirring lyrics are just absolutely amazing especially in the songs "All this Time" as Martin sings "so how can I serve God and wealth? I can captivate an army but I can’t control myself…” and "Take Off My Shoes". It just gives you a feeling of wanting and wanting to listen to the songs again and again. Martin's voice is incredible once again on this album. If you don't like this cd at first, this cd will definately grow on you.

Delirious? has great music, and this CD is amazing! I've been anticipating it coming out for a while now, and I am not at all disappointed with it. It's greatly written as far as lyrics go, and the music has great sound, and a great message too.

These songs speak to everyone, if they are not praise and worship, they will lead you into praise and worship. You can't help but want to close your eyes, lift your hands to God, and want to draw closer. If you want a CD that speaks on everything, literaly, everything that this generation and everyone needs to hear, this is the CD to get. These songs make you want to do all things important in a relationship that pleases God. In some songs you want to run into his arms, where in others you can't help but want to jump out of your seat and run into the streets and tell everyone you see and think of about the greatness of God. You just want to draw closer with God and do all you can to please him. These songs, again, I can't stress how important it is that they all have true messages and we should apply all these things to our lives and use them in our relationship with Christ. I will leave you with one last thought, if this is what the CD spoke to a 15 year old, can you even imagine what it will speak to you and all you can get out of it. This is a great CD no person should be found without!!

This album has to be their best yet and it's a very solid effort. Delirious? music comes from the heart, and touches the soul with many emotions from the amazing worship song "Miracle maker" to the more up beat "Now is the time" and their awesome new single "Paint the town red". lyrically it's so beautifully expressive throughout each song. It's one of the best CDs in my collection and easily the best CD I've purchased in some time. Highly recommended! "Mission Bell" is a winner. If you've never given Delirious a chance before, this is the perfect introductory CD to them, For the fans of Coldplay, U2, Switchfoot!

Delirous has once again put out another great album. Although "The Mission Bell" is a little different from their past albums, it still has the Delirious feel to it, which includes great guitar riffs and awesome lyrics. I really enjoyed this cd, and I recommend it to all who listen to Christian music, or even those who don't.
