    Inspiring and helpful

The book explains how we learn our parenting skills from our parents and how the author chose to become a different parent than her mother. I am blessed to have an awesome mom who is very spirtual and has prayed for us "kids" (now all in our 40's & 50's) our entire lives - but the book was still very helpful. Even though my experiences with my mother were different than the author's, I learned more about myself and how to improve my parenting skills from this book. The forgiveness chapters are helpful for all relationships. Well worth reading!
