Ask any mother and she will tell you there are just not enough hours in the day. Overview

Ask any mother and she will tell you there are just not enough hours in the day. By the time she has fed, clothed, and bathed the children, read Curious George for the 100th time, cut the crusts off the PB&J sandwiches, and removed the ground-in dirt from the play clothes, she does not have time to create a detailed scrapbook of each of her children's lives. It's no wonder that so many elaborate baby books remain incomplete, their pristine pages adding to the guilt and inadequacy that many moms already feel.

That is why The Mommy Journal is so perfect for today's moms. It offers a quick and guilt-free way to record the special moments of childhood. Space for each entry is only about three inches long and undated, so there is no pressure to write lengthy narratives or to journal every day. In less than five minutes, mothers can quickly jot down the moments they want to remember forever. Plus, unlike traditional baby books, The Mommy Journal lets mothers record memories of all their children in one place.

Charming illustrations of toys, hearts, and animals grace each page. Every few pages contain a bit of parenting wisdom such as, "The best thing you can give children next to good habits are good memories." Instructions for fun activities moms can do with their children, such as make edible finger paint from instant pudding, are included as well. The Mommy Journal will become a treasured keepsake, both for the mom who creates it and for the child who receives this precious record of childhood.

I have this book and have been writing in it for my son since two weeks before he was born 'he's now 2 1/2 years old'. It is a great way to jot little memories and milestones for your child in a non-pressured way, as each page has 3 sections with cute little illustration images to divide your entries with just a blank line for the date. I keep it on my nightstand and when he does something funny or memorable that I don't want to forget, I write in down in there. One day I'll give it to him - filled with my thoughts as a mom, written to my son. I got it as a baby shower gift from a coworker. Great idea!

I love writing in my journal for my kids. I write down all the funny, loving, cute things they do, say or experience. I've also written current event type of things in it as well. Going back to read what happened a year ago, two years ago, etc. is so enlightening to me. It truly makes me realize how fast time flies with these precious little ones. I didn't look at a lot of journals, but I really didn't want one with old fashioned pictures or quotes. My kids provide those! This would also make for a great gift for the mom who likes to write/journal.

I ordered this journal for my nephew and his wife. I knew the new mom liked to write and liked the idea that it was not one entry per day. Its hard to keep up with that pressure especially when you have little ones. Each space is small enough to write something meaningful and is illustrated with simple but colorful art. I am happy I purchased it and the couple were delighted with the gift.

Fantastic. I own one for each child (2 boys, 7 & 3yrs old now) and find time to write in it about once a month. I've looked back and re-read things I had forgotten about & love the fact that I will always have these memories written down. I've used this so much more than I have the traditional baby books. I've also bough as baby gifts for friends & sisters.

I gave this as a gift to my pregnant daughter in law. I think it will be an easy way to keep track of things that happen when the baby arrives. There are three entries a page with the date and a few lines to write on for each date entry. It is an informal way to record "firsts" and thoughts, etc. It has a spiral binidng.

This book is wonderful and I bought it to document my first daughter's pregnancy. I've since bought it for my second and third pregnancies and it's a great way to get those memories in that you think you'll never forget but do. The only complaint I have is it's hard to write in because it's wire bound like a notebook. If it was a solid spined book then the spirals wouldn't be in the way. Minor complaint but it is something I wish was different about it.
