Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Carrie Hane Hung
While on an outing, Princess Lulu observes a lioness and her five cubs along with the other animals in the grasslands of her family's kingdom of Undala. Later in the day, Princess Lulu finds only one cub in the den; the lioness and other four cubs are missing. She secretly brings the cub back to the palace in order to care for it. Then, Princess Lulu uses her special topaz ring to call her Rescue Princess friends, Jaminta, Clarabel, and Emily. She asks them to come to Undala and help find the missing lions. Together, the princesses investigate the mystery of the missing family of lions. This early middle reader, part of the "Rescue Princesses" series, was previously published with the title The Moonlit Mystery. Fans of the series will probably enjoy this mystery adventure as the team of princess rescue the lions of Undala, figure out what is happening, and discover who is behind the disappearance. The book has a simple plot with a little suspense for readers getting into the mystery genre. Reviewer: Carrie Hane Hung
