Overview

When I first started writing my diaries, it was out of some form of anger and hurt, like I might get some kind of vengeance just by relinquishing my thoughts. There was also a dare—a dare to try, a dare to succeed, a dare to even attempt, and by who else but the one that caused so much anger, so much hurt. Well, dare to read as my diaries, my life, prove to be therapeutic, not to mention entertaining. The Moral of the Diary Is— is a story about how I overcame my sudden thrust into divorce, while unemployed and close to bankrupt, not to mention leaving a sixteen-year-old home alone as I entered the realm of the offshore drilling industry in the mighty Gulf of Mexico at the ripe old middle-age of forty-two.

I read this book simply because I was going through my own divorce and wanted to see how she handled this as well. And oh my!!! has she gone through it. I honestly only thought some of her experiences could happen to me but she handled them and moved on and still found love. I laughed and realized I could find love again myself. This is a great, honest read!
