A sought after magic sword, hell-bent vampires, and a necromancer who wants nothing more than to have her powers forgotten and her dreams of being a doctor come true. There is only one slight problem, women in olde-Russia are forbidden to practice medicine by Tsar Alexander himself. Can she find the sword before the Tsar or anybody else finds it all while juggling the men in her life?
“Konstantin is coming soon, Katerina. And he is looking for you, his necromancer.”
Author Robin Bridge is a master character builder. The character personalities are surreal pulling you deep into their world; feeling their world as if actually there. Katerina is not only royalty, but she is a strong individual determined to define her own path even if danger is around every corner. Her will to do great things and not be a pawn of the court is commendable. The world building is solid and highly believable and when mixed with the (at-times) intense fantasy world of necromancy you are guaranteed a trip through history you won’t want to escape from. I definitely recommend picking up the first two books in this series and experiencing the entire Katerina Trilogy.
