    Very...Interesting Read

This was a very interesting book. Some of the stories were sad, others were rather traumatizing. This book shows that heartlessness and evil do not discriminate.

    more from this reviewer

Had to force myself to finish...

This book has short stories of different women that have been part of or has murdered others. Half of the book gives you pretty much a history lessen about the queens.*yawn* Also back then it was common for people of higher power to summons a murder. The queens themself werent the ones to carry it out. The other half was better but I felt that they picked women that were just accomplices to the murders.(in most cases) What about that lady that put her kids in the car and drove them into a river?? I would say there are a few chapters worth reading but most not so much.

    Misogyny on Parade

This book oversimplifies the issue of women and violence. It ignores the fact that most of the women in prison for murder are there for killing abusive spouses, or other men, in self-defense. It is my opinion that, if the authors did their research, many women in this sensationalistic volume would fall into that category.

    A Different Side Of Women...

it shows a side of women rarely expressed in todays media and world. women are the home maker, mother, wife, but women also have a dark side that is shown in this thrilling and a little disturbing book. at times i found it hard to read becasue of the discription of the crimes yet it was very captivating. so if you have the time i would deffinetly recommend it. if u are into dark kinds of non-fiction books.

    Girls gone Bad

This is a fascinating book that digs into the twisted psyche of some women. It also points out beautifully, that some of these women are treated as monsters on the basis that they are women, and women are supposed to be pure and sweet. The psychological aspects of these women and their crimes is exquisitely told. My only complaint is that the author failed to include one bad girl, that being Erzebet 'Elizabeth' Bathory. I don't know how you can't include her. Otherwise very good read. Warning, some of it is very graphic, and sexually graphic.
