This is a wonderful book for kids with curiosity and imagination! Especially for kids that like bugs. And especially especially for kids that like bugs that have trouble getting to sleep at night in the dark. I must admit, I'm partial, as one of the writers!

So far I don't like this book, because it appears that the moth makes a new best friend, the firefly, who very suddenly disappears and who he can never find again. So it is actually a rather depressing ending. Not a very enjoyable way to put my son to bed.
If this wasn't what the authors intended, they unfortunately left too much unsaid.

A beautiful story inspired by a truly amazing city, and you don't have to be a New Yorker to appreciate it! I cannot stop looking at Crystalle's beautiful depictions of what the city must look like to a moth. Well done, this is a great addition to my nook, and I will use it when I'm babysitting!

Gorgeous illustrations and a wonderful story. For anyone who lived through the NYC blackout this is a magical adventure.
