The master of bluegrass in a masterful box set

The master of bluegrass is given a great overview with this 4 CD set. Bill Monroe does songs of love, faith, heartache, and joy with such skill and depth that even those who are not usually fans of Country Music find themselves enjoying this man's art (I've shared it with several friends of this sort with great results). I have to give MCA a lot of credit for the skill with which they chose the selections for this set. It could not have been easy to select which recordings to pick out of the vast Monroe catalog for a four CD set and MCA was spot on perfect in their choices. A most enjoyable experience.
