Cant go wrong with a good love story...wow, is all i really have to say...this book has it all...an intense love between mates, strength of a loving, loyal pack...tragedy, comedy...you name it, this book has it...i have to admit, i cried, i really cried...and it takes a great book to get me to do that...but the one thing that i couldve done without is the jaw dropping, cliffhanger of an ending...i will be pacing a whole in my carpet until book two is released!! Way to go BELINDA!!

There were three things that I really liked about this book:

I like the way that Ms. Boring personified the werewolf. Most times the person is a person and then is a werewolf without much cross over, but Ms. Boring really addressed what it was like to be a werewolf and to have a wolf inside you but still have a human personality. There are times that these two personalities conflict, yes it is two personalities in one body.

I really liked that Ms. Boring didn’t just pit Vampires against Werewolves but had them work together to save the supernatural community. This was a nice change of pace from the all out killing that happens between werewolves and vampires.

I also really like the way that Ms. Boring wrote their story, making the main characters that you feel for, even Jasmine who does not play a very large role. You hurt with them, you laugh with them, and you cry with them.

There is kissing and some almost sex, what? when you are betrothed you can’t just hook up with your intended mate, but you can come as close as possible, that is if that damn second in command doesn’t interrupt and then proceed to state that he will watch the undressing. For Mason and Darcy to go though what they did, the end really upsets me. I am all for suspense and twists, but this twist just left my mouth hanging open.

The Lighter side of the Paranormal

Are you new to paranormal romance or maybe looking for a “light” paranormal read? The Mystic Wolves by Belinda Boring is a quick and relatively light read with moments of amazing humor, heart-breaking pain, a deadly mystery and hard determination to solve it. An innocent trip to the store turns deadly and the pain hits close to home for pack alpha, Mason and his future mate, Darcy. Someone is sending Mason and his pack a message, but who could willingly kill innocents with such brutal ease?

Struggling with guilt and grief, Darcy is determined to avenge the death of her best friend, but her hot-headed ways could only lead to disaster. Can Mason and his pack ferret out the vile coward making a play for power? Is it another wolf pack or is it other supernaturals with their own agenda?

Belinda Boring has taken a different approach to writing paranormal fantasy, without chapter upon chapter set aside for sensual moments, she gives us Fade to Back moments that are just as note worthy and sigh-inspiring without being “in your Face,” about it. Also missing are page after page pounding out gore and mayhem. The rest is delightful filler, enriching and rounding out this tale.

Ms. Boring has created unique individuals from the lethally somber to the incredibly comical and allowed the reader to draw their own mental fantasies regarding their futures in other additions to this series. For me, I found the simplicity and straight forward approach taken by Ms. Boring to be a refreshing break from more complex and dark paranormal tales.

Action packed, unique and fun. What woman wouldn't find herself in Darcy's position? Especially after being told NOT to do something! I enjoyed it. I can't wait to read the other books! Great job!

    Horrible ending!

This book started out wonderful until right at the very end. The ending of this book was so bad that it ruined the story for me.
I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone because the ending was a total cliff hanger ant made me mad. I will not be reading
any of the authored other work.

The Mystic Wolves by Belinda Boring
I am finding myself at somewhat of a loss as to how to express how much I absolutely L.O.V.E.D. this book!
So I will start at the beginning which had me confused. I actually when back to make sure this was the first book of the series. Belinda doesn’t screw around, no filler, no nonsense; she goes straight for the meat of the story. From page one she had me feeling as though I opened the book to the best part, and it continued that way throughout.
I absolutely fell in love with the characters of this book, and felt a lil lost when our time ended. Don’t worry I had book 2, Forget Me Not, waiting in the wings. The ending for The Mystic Wolves was just the way I like them concluded but with and into to what’s next.
I am giving 5 fairies and I don’t do this lightly, it really was amazing from start to finish.

Darcy is the future-mate of the pack alpha. She and a friend go on an errand and things don't really go as planned.
There's a bad guy and some drama.
I really don't know what to say about this book. The ending didn't feel complete to me. It just abruptly stopped. And while the sequel is only $2.99 through Barnes and Noble, I don't know that I'll buy it just because the ending to this book upset me.

    A Mystical Love Story!!!

Reading Mystic Wolves by Belinda Boring I was intrigued from the first page. Once again another book I was able to get emotionally involved with the characters. Murder and mayhem ensues from page one to the very last. Darcy and Mason are to be mated but before that can happen, she must go through trials and tribulations in her life but with Mason and her pack she can overcome anything. Throw in a couple of vampires in the mix, one who is totally silly and one who stands on the Richter scale of hotness and you have a winner. There is heartbreak and retribution and I promise you will cry but then you will laugh at the wittiness of Belinda’s writing. Belinda Boring wears her title of queen of swoon quite well. The author will have you begging for more at the end of the book… so look forward to Forget Me Not!!!!

Intriguing read, though confusing at times. I'm not sure about the Darcy/Mason relationship, because it seems like they are going at it like bunnies, but then she talks about being a virgin. I don't really understand that whole aspect of the story. I loved the wolf parts, love Devlin, love Daniel. The supporting cast is great. Overall, the book was really good. I'm excited for the next in the series.

The author is lousy at getting a story going. I even checked to make sure I was on Book One because the way she wrote it, it felt like I was missing the backstory. Having said that, the last half of the book was great! If she'd focused more on setting the story up and moving the plot along and less on showing the romantic connection, it would have been a great book. While not perfect, the author appears to at least have run a spell check and re-read her book at least once to proof-read it, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of these free books!
There is a very good chance I'll read Book two, I admit I curious about the secret of her blood but I find the twist on the last page implausible since it's contrary to plot of the book, it would have been taken care of already by the antagonist.

This was a cute werewolf story about a girl and guy who are naus

This was a cute werewolf story about a girl and guy who are nauseatingly in love. He’s the alpha and she’s his betrothed, so Darcy’s gotten very comfortable in the pack, and very close with Mason’s sister. The story delivers betrayal, death, danger, and frustrating sexual tension because they need to stay “pure” for the mating ritual.

There’s a large section in the middle where Mason and Darcy focus on each other and just get away from it all for a bit. I personally enjoyed it because I love to focus on just the love story, however realistically I don’t think they would’ve been able to get away with it when there’s a threat looming.

While I enjoyed the story, the cliffhanger ending made me mad for a lot of reasons...that I can’t explain without giving it away, so I’ll zip my lips. Beyond that, my biggest complaint is that we once again have another werewolf/vampire story. I like vampires and werewolves, but hopefully Belinda Boring will shake it up a bit in book 2, Forget Me Not, which is available now!

Loved this book!!! Cant wait to read the next one. I love Darcy and Mason just sounds dreamy. The action was great and flowed well with the plot. My heart hurt for Darcy and Mason and the rest of the pack for what happened to Jasmine. The amount of emotion that was shown by these characters was amazing. Its been my experience with werewolf books is that the wolves don't show much emotion so it was a refreshing change of pace. I must say that the cliffhanger at the end had my heart beating out of...more
