I'm already self-published and doing well, but you can always learn more, especially from people with more experience. I learned a ton from reading this, and now wish I read it a little sooner since it had been sitting on my kindle for a few months.
The success stories are uplifting. The warnings are very informative. The number crunching is eye-opening, but thankfully I didn't have much luck with the traditional route and skipped some of that.
I would happily recommended this book to anyone even considering publishing with either route. What works for one may not work for another. Still, it's best to be informed going in. This book strives to give you the positive side of the self-publishing and show you what you can attain if you're will to put the work in.

This book has been on my TBR since it came out and I’m really mad at myself I waited so long to read it, but hey! Life happens and time doesn’t always permit!

Starting with putting a business plan in place, giving you an actual example of the author’s own business plan, this book kicks off with a great start. Each author speaks of their own experience, and I’ll admit, one even made me cry – Thank you so much Denise Grover Swank!!

Ten authors give examples of their own experiences and what they did on their paths to becoming bestselling authors. Some of the examples may seem redundant to an author that has been in the business longer, but this is a great resource for any level of author. The key, and one that is brought up often, is consistency. It’s not luck, it’s not easy, and it is…

    Hard Work!

If you’ve ever had a question as to what you should be doing, or just need to know you’re doing things right, this is a great book for you! It gives you a great platform to build a plan and stick to it. If you follow their examples, who knows! Maybe you will be writing the next book right along with them.

This book is now on my Recommendation list for Newbies and I will use it in my coaching practice as a go-to resource.
