The New Joys of Wine

The New Joys of Wine

by Clifton Fadiman, Darlene Geis (Editor), Sam Aaron

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal - Library Journal
This new revision brings Fadiman and Aaron's work ( LJ 12/1/75) up to date with current information on vineyards and vintages. While it includes some new text and illustrations, plus additional information about American vineyards, it is essentially the same attractive, oversized book that came out 15 years ago, featuring most of the same essays, quotations, songs, and short stories. One drawback the revision shares with the earlier edition is the limited attention paid to wines outside France and the United States. Most libraries needing an introductory book on wine connoisseurship would be better served by Richard Vine's Wine Appreciation ( LJ 11/1/87) or Hugh Johnson's Modern Encyclopedia of Wine (S. & S., 1987. 2d ed.).-- Peter C.
