    Great for beginners

This was a great book to research whether or not we would stock a salt water aquarium. It was very informative but also brought up good points that we needed to talk to someone at the pet store about before continuing on this path. Recommend for beginning knowledge.

    Out Dated!

I just bought this book based on the reviews and found it lacking. Everything in this book, including the pictures are out-dated. I'm still looking for a new book that talks about setting up a salt water aquarium/reef. The equipment and methods in this book are out-dated. They've improved on some methods so that you don't have to do what this book says.

    Outstanding !!!

I am in the process of researching everything to know about setting up and running a sucessful marine aquarium. After borrowing this book out of a library, now I am going to buy this book ! This is THE best reference book for all who always wanted to own a Marine Aqaurium. Very informative and an easy read and definitely easy to understand step-by-step guide to help you get started. Everything you need to know about aquarium tank sizes, equipment, live rock /live sand, maintaining the saltwater tank, acclaimation of fish & invertebrates, and different species of marine fishes recommendation is in this book. Perfect for beginners and advanced aquarists. I highly recommend this !!

    Lovely Book

This book is a great help in keeping saltwater fishes. There's no attempt to baffle with b.s. as with so many of the authors who don't really know what they're talking about. It's quite obvious to me that Paletta has the subject well in hand. He brushes with truthpaste.
