Overview

The New Moody Atlas of the Bible integrates the geography of Bible lands with the teachings of the Bible.  Dr. Beitzel has blended the topographical and historical in 118 full color, detailed and digitized maps of Palestine, the Mediterranean, the Near East, the Sinai, and Turkey. Learn of God's protection and guidance by following Israel's forty-year sojourn in the wilderness and appreciate the results of the Great Commission to 'teach all nations' by seeing the scope of Paul's three missionary journeys.

All of the graphics are brand new, and every page was substantially rewritten, updated, and expanded to bring you more than one hundred thousand words that provide useful commentary throughout.  Superior photography, comprehensive geographic detail, award winning maps, distinctive theological discussion of geographical matters, and thorough documentation in the form of new indexes and 800+ endnotes set this atlas apart from the field. The New Moody Atlas of Bible Lands is an invaluable asset to Sunday school and home school teachers as well as seminary and Bible college students.

Now the maps and pictures for this award winning atlas in digital format, are available for free, to all owners of the atlas. Each copy of the atlas ships with a code, redeemable for a software download on the internet. The software allows the maps and pictures to be displayed on screen for personal, classroom or congregational use.

    WOW! Awesome!

Thanks for Moody Publishers for providing me a copy of the following book to read and review.

WOW! I have never seen a Bible Atlas before, so I am definitely amazed at this book! This book is huge (The size of a textbook) and full of great geographical pictures and information! The New Moody Atlas of the Bible includes all new and digitized maps, a total of 118 maps! The maps are very much detailed and include supporting information and commentary.

My husband loves geography and he is thrilled with the additional of this book to our library! He has been using it a lot during his study time and he has even been picking it up to read for fun! I see this book helping us immensely in our personal study and, when we have children, helping us teach them!

I haven't read through the entire book, but I have started using it in my personal Bible Study when a geographical location comes it. It has absolutely helped me to better understand my studying and what is happening in my reading!

I would definitely recommend this book to Christians interested in history and geography, and also Christians that would like to deepen their study of Bible study through geographical history! This will definitely be a great resource in our library for a long time to come!

Thanks again to Moody Publishers for sending me this book to read and review!
