Rachel Pollack is one of my favorite authors on the Tarot. I own many of her books. This one is directed at beginners and the descriptions of the cards are concise and insightful. If you are new to Tarot these descriptions will be very helpful. You might wish to explore other books by her as your interest deepens.

If you are just starting out and do not know anything about Tarot reading this may not be for you. However, if you have a basic knowledge of how tarot cards work it is an excellent book because it goes more in depth than I had expected.
