The e-reader version is incomplete and does not have all of the sections that the website version does, such as the Technology section.

My favorite parts of the newspaper are not available in this format! No Business! No Arts, No NY. It was nice to have it delivered and not need to be connected to read it, but there just isn't enough to to it for me.

It's been great downloading it to my Nook by 8:00 AM, even during a major blizzard. I just have to get used to navigating it. I love not having to recycle. I canceled my paper delivery after 3 days and it costs half as much. No more dirty, inky hands or having the paper falling on the floor getting to the rest of the article. You have to make sure you click on "new content" so it downloads. I love it.

Bought an issue before buying Nook and was disappointed by implementation by the B&N PC version of the reader (no punctuation and paragraph formating funky). So with some concern I bought the Nook but was relieved to find that these problems don't translate to it. Downloading to the Nook was smooth and effortless. It's a big paper so the time to download over 3G out here in the boonies was a couple of minutes. Browsing the newspaper-- it was the first thing I tried on my
Nook-- took some getting used to, but I got the hang of it after about an hour or so. Overall I'm pleased, much better option than driving into town to get an old paper copy or using slow internet connection to look at the on-line version.

I had stopped ordering the paper online because I couldn't stand spending more time in front of a computer screen, and stopped ordering the paper version due to my guilt regarding how many trees were being cut down for the chance that I might read the paper.
Now I wake up in the morning, and the paper is there waiting for me. No struggling with the pages as I read and manage my breakfast. No running out into the snow/rain/sleet to fetch it. It's small enough to carry with me into waiting rooms, etc., which means I actually get to read the paper - or at least enough of it to know what's going on in the world.

I was a little dubious about subscribing to this paper after reading these reviews. It seemed like people with NookColor liked the product only okay, and I couldn't get a real sense of whether people with regular Nooks liked it. Thank goodness for the 14 free trial days. That is why I gave the paper a chance, and I'm so glad I did.
FYI: I truly didn't get charged until 14 days later.
This paper is so easy to read on my B&W Nook. No fussing with the unruly paper edition while trying to drink your coffee. No need to put your subscription on hold if you go out of town. I really like the format, too. You can skip to different sections using the touch pad. You can scroll through the articles titles (complete with mini-synopsis an picture) until you find one you'd like to read through. Not to mention all the trees you'll save! Totally worth the $20.
I'd recommend this to anyone. And if you have a regular Nook, rest assured that you will enjoy this product just as much as anyone with a NookColor--perhaps even more!

Many articles become virtually without meaning because the graphics, charts, tables, or diagrams referred to in the article, are not delivered.
In an article by Eduardo Porter, "A nation with too many Tax Breaks), when it says, "the accompanying chart shows how the federal government spreads benefits." you might as well give up.
There is no accompanying chart.
You can find something like this every day.
Subscribe with care.

When I got my nook, I was thrilled that the Times were going to be able to come to me. It is not only better for the environment, but it is more convenient. I think that this uproar about the crosswords being missing is insane considering they told us upfront and if that is the goal of getting the Times, I know the problem with American society.

Although not perfect the B&N newspaper on the iPad is very readable. I used to subscribe to newspapers on my Kindle and that was very clumsy. This version is similar, but using the iPad and it's quick turning of pages makes it a much more user friendly product. With a few more tweaks that I am sure are coming I can see this becoming a great product.

I rated this 3 stars and canceled my subscription for one reason, the Technology section of their newspaper isn't included with this digital version. Fix that and you'll get my money.

The major downside is not having the crossword puzzle that the NY times is famous for. For $20 per month, I'd like to start seeing this.

If the NYT is not automatically downloaded to your Nook in the morning, click on My Library and then click Check for new B&N content. This works for me every time there is a late delivery issue. I had been so frustrated until I found this. Now I have zero complaints - no recyling, always available, no ink on fingers. It's great.

I find it great to read on the Nook Color. I hate to see newspapers go away but this is great on the nook - I can scan all the content and I find I read more than I usually do with the newsprint.

I can't imagine giving this anything but a 5-star rating. The paper is delivered daily. It is very easy to navigate and read. It's just terrific. Now whether one always agrees with content is another issue, but this is part of what freedom of the press is all about - a great discussion and debate.

I buy this on Sundays -- wish there was a Sunday-only subscription, but from some of the reviews perhaps downloading it whenever I want it may be the best way to get it at this time. I really enjoy it -- took a few moments to figure out how to navigate through the paper, but it turns out to be pretty easy. Love the articles and variety of content. It's a nice supplement to my local paper. Lots of photos, and an overall good reading experience.

I do not understand all of the carping about the performance of the NYT on the iPad. I find that it is just fine. Navigation is easy and the presentation quite adequate. Of course there are little things that could be improved-- adjustable type size, for example, but the size that has been chosen is acceptable, even for my aging eyes. And the presentation is not as elegant as some others-- e.g., Le Monde and the Financial Times-- but again, still worth the price if you are a daily reader of the paper and you do not like newsprint dust in your eyes nor ink on your hands.

I canceled Times Reader as this seems better.
But I'm not seeing a real Page One yet, and the sections seem so-slow to load.
But once the stories get there they are a delight to read.
Anyway, I've got three weeks to -lay with it
