    Ok

Short story, not enough explanation given on the characters or their actions.

    Short story

This book is very short and doesn't really provide a whole story. Could have been written much better or longer even.

    Too short and odd

I often enjoy short stories because it can be hard to find the time to read a novel. Unfortunately, this short story let me down. The ending was ubrupt and the plot took a strange turn that a fan of horror/mystery could not even follow with ease.

Good short story. Kept my interest. Unfortunately I am not a fan of short stories, it always seems I am left wanting more, and it ends to abruptly. However if you like short stories I would say this one if for you!

    Short

I liked the short but was left wondering "and then what" . Could have used more closure.

    Too short!

This started off promising, however before a good basic background could be established. It was over, abruptly. It has promise, if it were only 'fleshed out' a bit more.

    Okay needs more to it

The premise is great and I could really see it developed more as a full novel similar to a Dean Koontz novel like Funhouse. My complaint is there just isn't enough to it right now, it is like a work in progress being published.

    Carnival of...Little Horrors!

In this free prelude to The Lurkers, Rufty introduces the clan of tiny beings known as haunchies, who move into a rural Wisconsin town and take up residence on a farm...but they're far more than a traveling oddity carnival!

Someone finally wrote about the Haunchies!

You have to be from Wisconsin to understand. They're real!

    Eeehhh...

Not the best story. Even though it's free and short, there are better stories out there that make this one aa waste of time.

If you like short stories you might like this.

This very short story was well-written and very descriptive. It's not the kind of book I really like to read but the few pages held my attention.
