A welcome addition to a previously ignored literature

When people see this book on my desk, they want to get a copy because they have no idea what muslims are like, what they think and what they do on a daily basis. I can imagine that people are less likely to be afraid and prejudiced the more information they have. There are so many books about Islamic theory, its refreshing to see one that actually looks at practice. Dr. Nimer seems to maintain a scholarly allegiance to the truth even with touchy political topics. There were a few errors in the directory, but its the most reliable and up-to-date one available anywhere.
