Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Children's Literature
Number Seven is a Numberlie. She lives at Seven Number Lane in Numbertown. She is the most clever Numberlie. She has invented a toaster that toasts seven pieces of bread, a seven hour timer and vacuum cleaner that cleans seven different ways. Her most useful invention is Robbie, the seven-armed robot. Her most exciting invention is a rocket that takes her into outer space and back. She is the first Numberlie to go into space. The artwork is fun and cartoony, but the story is clumsy. However, there are many opportunities to practice counting. Part of a series of ten books. 2000, Dorling Kindersley, Ages 4 to 6, $3.25. Reviewer: Kristin Harris—Children's Literature
