Overview

The Observer's Sky Atlas is a truly indispensable and handy companion for both the beginning observer and the professional. This thorough atlas contains clearly arranged star charts, a catalog of more than 1000 objects from the far-reaching measurements of the Hipparcos Satellite published in 1997, as well as tables mapping predicted separations of binary stars until the year 2015.

    Indispensable!

While not wholly suitable for the beginning amateur, this book is one of the best kept secrets for the dedicated sky observer. The close-up detail charts are simply phenomenal, far surpassing Tirion¿s Sky Atlas 2000 in detail. This is an absolute must have if you are serious about this hobby, especially if you are the non-GOTO star hopping type.
