Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
Mark Victor Hansen is the mastermind behind the blockbuster Chicken Soup series, and Robert G. Allen is the personal finance expert who wrote the million-selling Nothing Down and Creating Wealth. What brings these two bestselling authors together is their belief that good thinking and good spirits should be compatible gifts. Part inspirational fable and part motional personal finance book, The One Minute Millionaire could be the most unconventional and uplifting business book you've ever read.
Publishers Weekly
This mega-selling twosome (Hansen's name is on every book in the Chicken Soup series and Allen wrote the bestselling real estate guide No Money Down) offers a long-winded pep talk on how just about anybody can make big money. According to the authors, "At this very instant you are standing in the middle of millions." They maintain that anyone can achieve "enlightened" wealth, a utopia where everyone has money and tithes, creating a better world for all. Hansen and Allen's approach is a mix of self-help and money talk, though a bit heavier on the former. The left-hand pages are a simplified explanation of how to amass millions, with options such as write a book, buy and sell real estate and start a company. The right-hand pages illustrate the same themes, via fictionalized dramas, e.g., newly widowed Michelle's struggle to come up with $1 million in cash to get her two children back from her in-laws. Hansen and Allen's feel-good suggestions run along the lines of "find a mentor," "use a fulcrum" and "be part of a team." Full of endless acronyms (e.g., "System: Save Your Self Time Energy Money"), catchy phrases (e.g., "A Dream + A Team + A Theme = Millionaire Streams") and animal imagery (butterflies, honeybees, owls and hares scamper among the pages), this offering echoes much of the self-help cacophony already out there. But its message is muddled: sometimes the millions are yours for the asking, and sometimes it's the system that keeps you down. Copyright 2002 Cahners Business Information.
Soundview Executive Book Summaries
In an inspirational guidebook to accumulating personal wealth, two best-selling authors have teamed up to present a "millionaire system" to help readers create wealth, build wealth rapidly, overcome fears, take risks and succeed over the long term. The book's format is a unique combination of a fictional story (the right-hand pages) and nonfiction, practical strategies (the left-hand pages) that combine to provide lessons and techniques for ethically creating wealth. Inspirational and Empowering

This book was simply phenomenal, considering it's actually two-in-one! It's entirely possible to make a million dollars in one minute and this is basically the 'how to' guide. One of the key points to remember in the book is the use of Other Peoples Resources (OPR). It's all about leveraging yourself and establishing an automated system that will work for you using OPR! The rich do not work for money, their money works for them! Mark Victor Hansen covers everthing from buying and flipping real-estate, creating an e-book, using affiliates, and much more. I would recommend this book to everyone looking to improve their finances, especially those with an entreprenuerial mindset.

    A tried-and-true money making compendium

If you liked Chicken Soup for the Soul, you¿ll love this book, and some of its tips may even help you make some extra money and maximize the money you have. It is an unusual collaboration between Mark Victor Hansen, Chicken Soup¿s co-author, and Robert G. Allen, author of several books on getting rich in real estate. The book is half novel (on the right-hand pages) and half collection of self-help and investing advice (on the left-hand pages). Both the motivational fiction and the guidance are clear, though often familiar and a bit simplistic. The self-help and money-making tips evolve from standard get-rich books, spiritual manuals, real estate investment guides, management literature and pop psychology, but they are well-compiled and linked with supportive commentary. The most compelling tips involve giving, not getting, which is a nice twist. The book has a little of everything, from poetry to great quotations, so it resembles a deluxe pizza with many scattered toppings more than a nourishing bowl of mom¿s chicken soup. We say dig in, if that¿s your dish.

It comes at you in two great styles

Do you prefer logical, factual, and/or rational? Is your preference creative, imaginary, and/or possibilities? How about both? It is two books in one, which makes this book great. It guides you to create and attract the wealth you desire, and at the same time it has a story to inspire you of infinite possibilities. One way or another it will touch you for your best and highest good.

    A MAGNET OF ABUNDANCE

Anyone can be a magnet of the kind of abundance they want and need in their lives by following the step- by- step detailed information given in this book, ---- according to author Mark Victor Hansen. If you're right-brain or left-brain; if you just want the facts or if you enjoy an inspiring story while you learn, this book engages your attention using both techniques. A woman is trying to regain custody of her children, against all odds. The book has a plethora of approaches to help her, and any reader seeking to empower themselves through financial security. References to helpful internet websites support the lessons in the book. One Minute Millionaire is a journey to abundance. Well worth reading.

    Great Information

Really a unique book. Or actually two books in one. On the right hand pages, tt gives a very emotional, moving story laced with valuable lessons on changing your attitude so you can achieve wealth. On the left hand pages, it tells you step by step the things you need to do to become wealthy. More important than a book on how to achieve wealth, it is really a book on how to live your life to the fullest. They (Hansen and Allen) constantly teach that wealth without enlightenment is short lived and totally without satisfaction. Well worth reading.

Great Motivation but, you will not make any money!

This is a great motivational book and nothing more. It gives you nothing in respect to building wealth other than telling you that you need to give 10% back. You are better off reading 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill. These authors have done nothing but re-sell info for money and teach others to do the same. They have not made their money in real estate, they have made money in selling books and teach you to do the same. Get real America. If you want something out of life work hard for it. Our country is built on that dream. Many have come to this country with nothing on their backs and built a fortune. You can too. Find your dream, believe you can do it, write it down, sign it, pray, and give back 10% of what you receive and I guarantee you will be the beautiful human being you strive to be. Great Book

This book let me believe that I can really acheive my goals. The story should have been really real though, and the techniques outlined to acheive the million is good, but the book lacks how you should go about and do it. it just opens door for you to buy other books to actually find out how to do it. Or pay over $5000 to him, so that he can train you. Some people would love to be trained but what about folks who really want to change their lives, but can't afford to pay their rent much less $5000. But apart from that, the book was really good. I love the AHA's, tithing and Team Building part, now I know those three are Realistic. PLus when you give away your money your receive more. Peolpe who find it hard to give away 10%, is always lacking something, doesn't have to be money.

    ONE MINUTE MILLIONAIRE--==HUMAN DREAMS==--

Excellent book so far as POSITIVE thinking is concern but when you talk about becoming a one minute millionaire: I have to say: I guess it tells more about dreams....everyone and anyone sees dreams.....The book gives more advice about POSITIVE thinking THEN PRACTICLE thinking....so I would advice the author to come to the point and write something more real than DREAMING stuff and please not the same old story where you become millioaire at night in your dreams and get laid off from your job when you weak up in the morning....

    A book to be read

This is a very interesting work. It approaches the topic of how to become wealthy in a clever way. The authors involve the readers in such a manner that there is an urge to read it all. On the other hand, it encourages people to trust in themselves, to be foccused, prepared, work hard and continuously in order to achieve their goals and dreams.

    Mediocre at Best

I found the book to be very entertaining and I agree, I could not put the book down until I finished it. However, the part I enjoyed more was the fictional story rather than the true guts of this book. This book merely scratched the surface and the examples were without detail and merely encouraged you purchase other books to gain knowledge on the subject matter at hand. I found the book very preachy about giving back to others. I am a huge fan of "The Millionaire Next Door" and found that book was accurate in saying, "My favorite charity is myself." Don't get me wrong, giving back to the community is fine, but giving away your money doesn't fit the frugal profile established by this book.

Think & Grow Rich for the 21st Century

Napoleon Hill created the classic 20th century text for success. Mark Victor Hansen and Robert Allen have created the 21st century version. The best book I've ever read - and I've read many!

The One Minute Millionaire is the most straighforward, take-no-prisoners, right on target, commanding, treasure trove, Rich Dad Poor Dad busting, first class empowering book of its kind, ever! The format is unique in that you have a fictional story on one page and the step-by-step how-to instructions on the facing page. I have read motivational books, listened to audio tapes, attended seminars and tried dozens of moneymaking ideas and have never encounbtered such a call-to-action book such as this one. This one book by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen is an amazing journey to the Enlightened Way to Wealth. Their vision to revive our country by creating millionaires is such a radical departure from the "norm" that, at first, it's unbelievable. Slowly but SURELY, as you read the story, the AH-HA's get you and before you know it, you're on your way. Big dreams yield big results! Buy the book; buy 10 books and give them as gifts. You will be adding to the bottom line of everyone you give it to and you will be a better person for it.

    Stephen Gilman, M.D. of Loudspectrum.com

As a psychiatrist AND internet marketing expert, I always tell my clients the extreme importance of developing the right mindset to generate wealth and abundance. Those who do, do OUTSTANDING. The challenge for some is finding additional mentors besides myself. Additional people with real world experience generating abundance and maintaining and LIVING a proactive, enligtened mindset. The authors of this book are such mentors. This book can best be summed up as the modern day "sequel" to the classic "Think and Grow Rich". The authors describe with the utmost clarity EXACTLY what you must do to develop the psychology to enjoy and attain true wealth. I strongly endorse this book!

One Minute Millionaire - THE must read handbook for attaining true wealth and true riches!

I have read just about every "How To" book on creating wealth and have even achieved mild success in my lifetime. However I always felt something was missing. With this new book by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert Allen, I feel that I have the found the last number to secret code to MASSIVE wealth!! Only guess what..it's not a secret at all!!! This book brings together everything that creating wealth and sustaining it should be about. The combination of fiction and non-fiction in the same book, only speaks to the "outside of the box" thinking that these gentleman are famous for. It is my belief that anyone who reads this book will catch himself or herself shouting "Aha's" at every turn of the page. Yes it is that good, more importantly you are guided to the true meaning of wealth and of riches. You are also reminded of the responsibility that goes with abundance. With the One Minute Millionaire, the authors have created in this must read manual the "Think and Grow Rich" classic for the new millennium!
