Chapter One

When I Grow Up

Parker wants to be a doctor when he grows up. Do you what you want to be? You might like to be an artist, a nurse, an astronaut, or maybe a police officer, God has good plans for you. He knows what you will enjoy doing someday. And he will help you be good at doing it. If you pray to God and learn what he says in the Bible, he will help you know what he wants you to be.

My Bible Verse:

Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:6, NLT

My Prayer:

Show me, God, so I can see Exactly what you want me to be.

4 JANUARY

A Special Place

Kaitlyn made her very own house where she can work and play. It's fun to have a special place that's just for you. Did you know that God is making a special place for you in heaven? He has given you a special place to live on earth right now. You will probably live here for a long time. But someday you will live in a VERY special place in heaven that God made just for you. And you will live there for a VERY long time-forever and ever!

My Bible Verse:

There are many rooms in my Father's house.... I am going there to prepare a place for you John 14:2, ICB

My Prayer: Someday, Lord I will see your face And live in a very special place!

Angels Everywhere

Did you ever make angels in the snow? The Bible tells us there are real angels who live with God in heaven. But did you know that there are angels who live with us right here on earth? Even though we can't see them, God's angels are all around us every day. God tells them to take care of us and keep us safe wherever we go.

My Bible Verse:

The Lord will command his angels to take good care of you. Psalm 91:11, NIRV

My Prayer:

Thank you for angels everywhere Who always keep me in their care.

Animals Big and Small

Do you have a pet in your house? Maybe you have a dog or a cat or a fish. Pets need water and food just like we do. Do you give your pet food and water? If you don't have a pet. maybe you can feed the birds or bunnies in your yard. God created lots of animals for us to enjoy. God is happy when we take care of the animals he made.

My Bible Verse:

All the animals of the forest are mine Psalm 50:10, NLT

My Prayer:

Thank you for animals big and small. Dear God, I know you made them all.

    Wonderful book!

We started reading this book to our son before he was born and have read it every night since. It is a terrific book. The devotionals are simple enough for toddlers to understand and relate to but the lessons are extremely valuable for anyone at any age. The illustrations are precious and the characters have quickly become friends. I would recommend this devotional to anyone! (I think it would make a perfect baby shower or first Easter gift!)

    A reviewer

We got this book for our 2 1/2 year old daughter for Easter, and she really enjoys. We read the one for the specific day in the morning and the same one again before bed, so she can remember what the devotional was about. It is easy discuss and has questions to help them to relate to the lesson. And when we forget to read it, she also reminds us to help her do her devotions. I would recommend it to anyone. I like to get it as a gift for baby dedications.

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Started reading this daily devotional this morning...it actually fits with today because we are going sledding and having Outdoor Fun..... LOVE THIS BOOK!

Zoe and Kaitlyn like to play outdoors. What are they doing today? Do you like to play outdoors? When you play with your friends or your brother or sister, it's important to be kind and to share. When you are filled with God's love, God will help you to treat others the way that you should. You can ask God to fill you with his love evwry day so your playtime will be lots of fun.

    Bible Verse:
We thank God because we have heard about the faith you have in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all of God's people.
    My Prayer:
Lord fill me with your love today, so I will please you as I play
    Colossians 1:4 (ICB)
