Overview

If you like an inspiring good laugh or a quick pick-me-up, let Alanna Maure take you on a sometimes hilarious, always thought-provoking journey. The Only Buddha in Town speaks to our inner voice of reason that we sometimes push aside or ignore. Through Alanna's wit, she sits you down and reminds you of the bigger picture in life, and encourages you to listen to your heart. Ranging in topics from surviving your twenties, to rejection and heartache, to letting go, Alanna's one of a kind sense of humor delves into the core of how to live in peace with a little raw truth and self forgiveness. As a soul searcher, Alanna suggests that by not taking yourself so seriously, you are a step closer to becoming the best version of you.

Meet the Author

Writing her life's journey, thirty-something Alanna Maure fills her stories with wit and wisdom intertwined with everyday themes and life lessons. Along the way, she shows that we are not alone, and that it's okay to be lost and confused, and go back to the emotional drawing board. Having survived tumultuous times, she gets it and knows you can too. She understands how easy it is to lose hope. Alanna Maure speaks about her life and her spirituality with humor and honesty.

I am a hopeful romantic who was once utterly hopeless. I am an ever-evolving poet who once couldn't rhyme. I am a voracious lover who once knew nothing of love. I'm an articulate writer who was once terribly tongue-tied. I am currently shaping the young minds of our future leaders as a high school English teacher.

Is she buddist, is she catholic, does she even know what message she's trying to get out. The book reads like one long blog rant. Save your money or better yet buy someone who speaks with some wisdom and compassion like Sylvia Boorstein. I want my money back.
