Meet the Author

Brenda Pandos is a web-designer who lives in California with her husband and two energetic children. Shortly after the birth of her second son, Brenda's oldest was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder that turned her world upside-down. Her life became round the clock feedings with a newborn and a daily stream of tutors working to help her son. She craved a meaningful escape.

The main concepts of THE EMERALD TALISMAN came to her in the wee hours of the morning as she reminisced the good old days when she lived with her best friend in the Santa Cruz Mountains. As a young girl, Brenda was a hopeless romantic, constantly lost in a fantasy world in her backyard of knights on white horses, mermaids and evil villains. As a teen, shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Interview with a Vampire intrigued her. With the encouragement of a friend after writing one chapter, she continued on to complete her first manuscript.

This is the finale of the Talisman Series.

OMG, Onyx Talisman was definately worth the wait. As the third, and concluding book, in the series, it's so action packed that I couldn't put it down. I loved every bit of it, even when I wanted to wrangle Alora's neck!! LOL But seriously, I can't say enough good about this book. If you haven't started this series, you NEED to!! I could tell that Brenda Pandos put a lot of sweat and blood into writing this whole series. Yes, I realize I'm using a lot of vampire puns, I don't care. This is not "another vampire" book. It's different than any other one I've read, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The Talisman series is one I plan on reading over and over again, to the point that I can quote it.

I love both of the The Emerald Talisman and The Sapphire Talisman. But I figured Brenda Pandos had written herself into a corner. But the resolution was both satisfied and gratified. This is a great fun read really hard to put down with lots of plot twists.

This is not just 'another book about vampires.' I started the series thinking that it was gonna be a little deja vu-ish. I coudn't have been more wrong. I expected a predictable vampy love story, and i pretty much got the exact opposite!! Dont get me wrong there are still vampires and there is still romance, but it is totally unpredictable!! You never know what is coming next and it keeps you reading and keeps you guessing. If you are someone who has not read this series, i pity you. Its all free and there are three. I am sad to see this series end and am hoping that our dear brenda comes out with anoher. Plz do brenda!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

After my procrastination at reading this last book in the Talisman series, I finally sat myself down one night and read this. As always with Brenda's books, I couldn't stop reading until I was done, and then was left wanting more. The ending to the Talisman series is bittersweet but very well thought out. The whole series is an absolute treat and very well conceived. This book had me in tears at a few points and growling at others.

The journey of character development, original storyline, and adventures galore culminates beautifully in Brena's final book! What a ride from start to finish. Never a dull moment, as Julia determines to forge ahead bravely as one crazy revelation and event after another blasts into her life. Nearly every single character in this book experiences something major or shock us by revealing a hidden side to them that blows are minds! There is no good place to put in a book mark and set down this book for a break...just make your coffee and snack ahead of time and buckle in for the ride. Onyx builds and builds, with twists and turns and doesn't disappoint as events explode at the end. Pandos brings the impossible to a thrilling conclusion. I'm sad to say goodbye to Julia, Nicholas, Phil and the gang!

Thanks Brenda for another awesome read! I highly recommend this series to all ages. As an adult I throughly enjoyed this series and is an excellent example of howother books in this genre should be written... w/o profanity, sexual situations, etc. that aren't necessary. Great job! Can't wait to read your next series....
