"Unlike some other 'beginner' advice books, Rogers' language is engaging and humorous, and strikes the right balance between being easy to read and needing a science degree to understand."

I expected more information. I had hoped for a book that had more than basic information. This book is really good but is more for a beginner. I also had hoped for specific information on the care and culture of the various orchids. This book was only a brief overview of orchids. I am off to find a book a little more for a person who already has a few dozen orchids and wants to know more in-depth information. Thanks.

    Helps the beginner

Really helps a beginner to understand and handle their orchids.
Even covers the more difficult varieties like the vanilla orchid.

    Highly Recommended!

Got The Orchid Whisperer to keep from killing any more orchids. It is well researched, easy to read and gives lots of information. Gave me enough confidants to purchase another orchid.
