Rothbard has written a well versed book here. He is able to explain the origin of central banking in America in a easy to understand manner. He starts with how banks work and their origins and progresses thru their evolving roles in the economy. He follows thru the key players who pushed for central banks and their motives.
I have read Ron Pauls book on the Fed as well, but found this one easier to read and richer in information.
Great book for anyone interested in the Federal Reserve system and its history.
