Meet the Author

Sheila Mills has served as head chef and co-owner (with her husband, David) of rafting outfitter Rocky Mountain River Tours (www.RockyMountainRiverTours.com) for 30 years. Many of the passengers Sheila and David guide down the Middle Fork of Idaho's Salmon River return year after year, thanks in no small part to Sheila's Dutch oven cooking. The recipes have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and Every Day with Rachael Ray and have helped establish the company's international reputation.

    Best dutch oven cookbook EVER!

    S. Mills first Rocky Mountain Kettle Cuisine from January 1981 is the most and best used cookbook in our family. I was ready to start copying all the pages by hand as it is falling apart...when, lo and behold, and bless her she issued a second edition!
These recipes have gone coast to coast, sea to mountains, river to desert..there are none better or more delicious for the dutch ovens!!!
submitted from eastern Idaho's Snake River

Not exactly what I was looking for!

NOTE: I have only thumbed through this book. Was hoping for more of an Outdoor quick easy recipes. Minimal ingredients or primarily meats seasoned with canned goods . While primitive camping in the great outdoors do not want to have to bring mountains of refrigerated items and or use several pots.
