This book is detailed about a large number of biblical books and characters. It also has articles on selected regions and customs of jews and christians in an easy to understand format. It is equally good as a resource for lesson preparation or personal study. As a seminary student I consult it for concise renderings of various topics that give the core answers without having to sort through numerous books or commentaries for background on a particular subject. The background for specific books of the bible such as author, location, audience and historical background are features that professional or layman will find helpful.
