Overview

Kieran Davis has hit rock bottom. She can't find a job, has no friends and is getting ready to be evicted. She has one mission left. One final quest that has always been unattainable.
Office Ian Nelson notices her at the eviction hearing. He can't understand why such a striking woman is where she is in life. He is ordered to take part in her eviction, but he knows, as soon as he steps in the apartment, something is wrong. Her things are there. But, she isn't.
He notices her final painting, the paint isn't even dry, but she's gone. He starts his quest to find out what happened to the girl who caught his eye. The journey leads him through impossibilities and the unbelievable revelation that she is precisely where she's supposed to be.

Way better than I was expecting. Well written, and very interesting. It could've better if it were fleshed out a bit, but, again, I still enjoyed this unique short read and didn't find it the least bit "dumb".
