the gospel of John like you've never read it before

The gospel of John had been my favorite book in the Bible when I came upon this book by Michael Card about 10 years ago. At the time, what I had loved about the gospel of John was that I fell in love with Jesus as a Person who had such real & tangible interactions with various individuals in almost every chapter. When I read it (the book of John) again through Michael Card's book, his historical perspective & research made John's account come alive for me like never before. It was like I was there, experiencing each interaction with Jesus as if I was the woman at the well, the man who was healed after 38 years, Nicodemus, the woman caught in adultery, etc. etc. You will appreciate Jesus in a new light, and fall in love with this 100% God/ 100% Man all over again. I would recommend reading this book in lieu of a Bible study, b/c it helped me to grasp the book of John in incredible ways.

Get to know Jesus like never before

Michael Card took my favorite gospel, the book of John, and made each event and personal interaction between Jesus and others come alive for me. The Holy Spirit has truly given him insight into the life of Jesus and the lives that were impacted by His words and actions in love. THANK YOU!!!

    MAJESTIC REFLECTIONS ON JOHN

Singer/songwriter Michael Card, an amazing talent, again amazes with this fine book. It was not enough to analyze or reflect on the text. Card here translates it from scratch, showing amazing skill and knowledge, then breaks it down and analyzes it in very useful ways. A fine book, must have for fans, and useful for all who wish to know more about this unique, special Gospel.
