Editorial Reviews

Romance Junkies
THE PATH TAKEN is a very sweet story centering around a small community and the people who live there. Gossip and speculation combine to cause Emily hurt and jealousy, possibly resulting in her losing the love of her life. D. K. Abbott did a beautiful job incorporating family secrets into the storyline that fascinated me and enables the reader to see the characters as real people with flaws and desires.

I came across this book while looking for a book for my child. I found Mrs. Potter's Cat and it sounded interesting - knowing my son would love it because his name is Todd as well. I ordered both, figuring one for my child and one after he goes to sleep. This is a very sweet, romantic story with a great ending. Emily is stubborn, not realizing that Noah isn't interested in any other young woman - he wants her. But her actions almost ruins her chances with this handsome young minister. It's an easy read - about 1 1/2 hours - but it keeps your attention and the time flew by. Here's hoping there's a sequel.
