My children loved this book and so did I. They loved the story itself and the brightly colored pictures. I enjoyed the message that it's hard to be different and that it's important to be true to oneself. One of my kids has a peanut allergy and understood the plot on a more meaningful level. He learned from this. A GREAT BOOK!

This book lays out a situation in a young child succumbs to peer pressure, with disastrous results. The story ends happily, though, and teaches kids that it's okay to feel "different," that it's important to be true to yourself, and that handicaps can be overcome with education, planning, and understanding. AND it's highly readable to young kids. A great book!

This book shows children that it's okay to be different. It also teaches kids that they can learn to manage their problems in a healthy way. The main character, Sam, is allergic to peanuts and it makes him feel alienated. But with some planning and instruction, he can overcome his problem. This is a realistic picture of what it's like to live with a life-threatening food allergy. The pictures are bright and the text keeps kids interested. Great book!

I liked the fact that a child with a certain disability can have his problem discussed in a beautifully illustrated children's book! Thank you for supporting the children!
