Praise for The Perfect Portfolio

"Today's markets are rife with challenges that confound novice and professional investors alike. Thankfully, The Perfect Portfolio provides the type of 'outside the box' thinking that can enable individual investors to not only cope with these challenges but also to view them as profit-making opportunities."
—Lynnette Khalfani-Cox, The Money Coach (from the Foreword)

To achieve long-term success in today's market, you can't place your faith totally in financial "experts" who are far too often salespeople first and objective advisers second. You must take personal control of your hard-earned savings and build a portfolio that gives you a realistic chance of earning returns that enable you to meet the investing goals you really want to achieve in life.

That's why Leland Hevner—President of the National Association of Online Investors (naoi.org) and a longtime educator in the financial field—has created The Perfect Portfolio. This reliable resource outlines Hevner's proven investment approach, known as the Perfect Portfolio Methodology (PPM), and shows you how to use it to thrive in today's challenging market conditions.

Divided into three comprehensive parts, The Perfect Portfolio will enable you to:

  • Build a powerful and efficient portfolio using nine asset classes instead of the traditional three
  • Completely avoid the complexities of analyzing individual stocks and mutual funds
  • Virtually eliminate company risk from your portfolio
  • Use amazing new Web-based tools to enhance and automate your trading activities
  • Easily design a portfolio that matches your investing style and thrives in any market condition
  • And much more

This is not the stuff of your average investing book. The author is not simply putting a new "spin" on the outdated investing concepts being taught today. He is providing nothing less than a dramatically new portfolio design model and a revolutionary approach to the entire field of personal investing. And this bold challenge to the status quo is long overdue!

With The Perfect Portfolio as your guide, you will realize that investing does not need to be as complicated as the financial services industry would like you to believe. You will learn a simple methodology for building a portfolio that can produce incredible returns with minimal risk. You will be empowered to take personal control of your investments. It's time to start your new life as a confident investor.

Very Well Planned and Very Timely

As someone who previously earned a living providing financial advice, I approached the book with a bit of skepticism. However, the book was very easy to understand and very well thought out. As I read on through the book, I began to look at things differently, from a client's point of view. It provides sound financial advice for someone who has grown tired of paying big fees for little results. Regardless of your current level of investing knowledge, this book will provide something for everyone, on every level. It's a small investment that could not only save you thousands, but put you thousands ahead as well.

    I Also Recommend:

A Wonderfully Innovative Approach to the Markets

In his exciting, new book "The Perfect Portfolio: A Revolutionary Approach to Personal Investing," Leland Hevner, acclaimed speaker, financial consultant and President of the National Association of Online Investors (NAOI), a respected public awareness organization, argues that that the world of personal investing, as we know it today, is broken. The financial services industry, he claims, is failing to meet the needs of investors who want to understand the principles behind how investment fortunes are made and lost and empower themselves to reach new heights in their financial endeavors.

Hevner is a teacher of personal investing, not a pitchman for some big name brokerage house with all sorts of tricky, overpriced financial products to sell you. His only interest is in spreading his new-age gospel of wealth so that as many investors as possible can enjoy the dream of personal, financial freedom and security!

Hevner's breakthrough approach to personal investing involves putting aside many of the assumptions you've always had about the subject. It relies on a time-tested formula called the Perfect Portfolio Methodology (PPM). The PPM identifies a "core segment" of low-risk, potentially high-yield investments that have been proven to grow with the market over the long haul. The real magic of the PPM, however, lies in the fact that the core segment is optimized by something Hevner terms the "target market segment." While the exact composition of this segment is different for every investor, there are certain immutable essentials, many of which were formerly declared non grata by conventional investment wisdom. In addition to traditional asset types like stocks, bonds and cash, Hevner adds such exotic new ones as gold, energy/agricultural commodities, real estate and emerging market stocks. With the PPM, Hevner virtually redefines what it means to have a fully diversified portfolio.

"The Perfect Portfolio" is a smart, savvy and sophisticated book that is sure to leave even the most uniformed reader feeling reassured and a little more in control of what's going on with his or her portfolio.

Two other books which rival "The Perfect Portfolio" for thoughtfulness and depth are Thomas C. Scott's "Fasten Your Financial Seatbelt" and John E. Girouard's Ten Truths of Wealth Creation." I recommend these three books together for a balanced picture of how to succeed in the market today.
