"An explicit, but also consummately witty and graceful celebration of erotica."

"The Park Street Press edition is the first illustrated reproduction of Burton's original translation. Buy it. Read it. Enjoy it. The Victorians did, even if they claimed they didn't. You won't be disappointed."

    Woefully Incomplete

The editor of this edition of the classic Arabic has omitted several sections of the original, including the chapter on homosexual practices. In undertaking publishing such frank and open text, it is ironic that he should shy from this , or any section of the original.
