I was shopping in Barnes & Noble one Saturday, heard this so

I was shopping in Barnes & Noble one Saturday, heard this soundtrack playing and decided to buy it because I enjoy compilations.  I didn't see the movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” but listening to the CD did prompt me to check out a variety of scenes that accompanied the songs on You Tube.

This is great music to exercise to.  It's kind of hard to not feel energetic when listening to Dexy's Midnight Runners doing Come On Eileen.  Other memorable tunes include Tugboat by Galaxie 500, Evensong by The Innocence Mission, Could it Be Another Change by The Samples, Low by Cracker and Dear God by XTC.  An unusually eclectic collection of artists from Cocteau Twins to David Bowie and Sonic Youth, this soundtrack is assuredly worth a listen and repeated plays.
