My first Scott Kelby Photoshop Elements book covered the 2003 edition of the software. Using his information enabled me to edit and refine my pictures in a way that astonished my graphic artist daughter, who is accustomed to the full professional Photoshop software. This edition is -- if anything -- even more useful than its predecessors. Everything is concise and to the point ... easily understood and implemented. More importantly, the book focuses on the practical needs of the amateur (including the proficient amateur) at digital photography. That is, the subjects are masterfully chosen to apply to the business of producing outstanding photographs and presentations on a daily basis. No wasted time or ink fulminating over arcane "futzing around" with stuff that you will never use.
