The two authors created for the reader, a facinating analogy between business success, and the challenges of completing a jet military training program. As a former Navy fighter pilot, and current owner of a medium size business, I was enthralled with the comparisons. The accurate flying descriptions and nerve racking details were "spot on". I actually flashed back to the whole ordeal, and my stomach was churning.
A great story with insightful information for everyone who runs a business. The authors attitude and success driven formulas echo an old fighter pilots mantra...."No points for second place". Instructive, informative, and a great read!

I don't want to give away parts of the story, but watching a few of the characters transition from Mach One Followership to true leadership was captivating. Showing what needs to happen before one assumes a leadership role, either in one's personal or business life, provided a great depth to the overall concept of leadership. Having spent 30 plus years in numerous leadership positions in both the military and the federal government, I found this book to be best I've read regarding leadership by example. Was this review helpful?
