    Worth The Wait!

Now this was a sequel that was worth the wait. The Pink Palace II is a fast pace; sexy, and exciting follow up to Mr. McCaulsky's debut novel by the Pink Palace in 2008. This book however does not reuse the same theme's of the first but instead feels like a new storyline in a familiar setting. This book features Nikki Bell from the first book three years after the first book. Nikki is no longer stripping and tricking but has settle down with her boyfriend Dre and their toddler son Tyler. Life is good until Dre's past dealing's with a ruthless drug dealer named Malachi Turner decides to collect on a past debt in blood. That sends Nikki back to the Pink Palace looking to settle the balance. Malachi owns the Pink Palace and has no intention of letting Nikki go free. But the new girl on the club scene is Jasmine, a stripper who does whatever she wants whenever she pleases. Jasmine is unhappy with Nikki's return and Malachi's fascination with her. Plus the fact that Malachi is sleeping with Jasmine adds gas to the flames. But there are other players in the shadows that have their eyes on both Nikki and Malachi and are willing to kill to get what they want.

Over all, this book was once again a witty & well-written book that any fan of the first Pink Palace would love. To me it exceeds the first. This book stands on it's own as an excellent installment in the Pink Palace series that doesn't use recycle themes from the first book. Mr. McCaulsky left the door open for a third book if he chooses to walk through it. I personally hope he does. I highly recommend this book to all urban-lit fans.
