The Pit [NOOK Book]

Overview

The first in The Pit series, this book chronicles two stories, running side by side next to each other.

The first story is symbolic, of a nameless young man trying to climb out of a pit deep within the Earth. He was put there by many others long ago. As he climbs, a demonic voice speaks to him, trying to get him to fuel his rage and desire for vengeance, or end it all and take his own life.

The second story is set in the real world, and focuses on a wannabe actor named Christian Anderson. All alone, without a purpose in life, and used to rejection by others, he seeks his dream because he feels like it will be the key to ending the stagnant and lonely state that is his life and finding happiness and fulfillment.

Meet the Author

I am a 27 year old author from Conroe, TX.There is not an easy way to define my work. I like to write stories in various genres with lots of symbolism and meaning. The overall theme that can be found in my stories is about the search for the meaning in a chaotic world that often seems bleak or obscured in darkness. In the case of 'The Pit' series, which I am currently working on at this point in time, the series focuses on seven characters inside of seven symbolic pits which represent their unique life situations, fears, despairs, struggles, dreams, and hopes, paralleled by stories set in the real world of different characters going through experiences and struggles that the various pits symbolize. My works are usually rather dark throughout the majority but heavily focus on the search for meaning as the characters struggle through to find the sometimes very elusive seeming light in all the darkness.Life takes us through many struggles and paths, hardships and victories, griefs and elations. No matter how dark things get, the light always shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it.
