E.D.S. Smith's interest in world events that changed history provided the background for this novel. It brings into foreground the superstitions, ignorance, and prejudices of the times, and the influence that Christianity had on people's lives.

The Plague at Bordeaux: A Historical Novel of Love, Greed, and Human Transformation based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
The many historical details were tucked into a fast-moving plot that gave a picture of life in 1300s France. The book investigates customs and mores of the times, the beginnings of scientific research, religious beliefs of the times, and the way in which national crises affect human behavior. Leave plenty of time when you begin to read this book as you won't want to put it down until you have finished it.
