THE PONY WINS A PRIZE tells the story of the pony Acorn. His owner, a little girl named Roxie, wants more than anything for Acorn to win a prize at the county fair. She already has a place ready to put the shiny gold cup he will receive if he wins.

Roxie and her friend June curry Acorn’s coat and get him all ready for the judging. But when it comes time for the fair, Roxie learns a valuable lesson. Gold cups only sit on a shelf. There are other prizes that live in your heart.

THE PONY WINS A PRIZE is a heartwarming tale for readers ages 6-9. It makes a wonderful bedtime story for younger kids as well. A gentle, poignant message; a tale told by a skilled storyteller.

It does not 'read to you'

Ok - a nice story, but you know how it says ' a read to me book', well it doesn't! Very misleading, as it does not have the 'read to me' option, but rather they mean the parent r guardian must read to the child. No problem as I do that every day, but I wanted to give my daughter the option of having this read to her in her free time, especially if I'm not around. A sneaky way of getting a sucker like me to buy the book!
